Meet Jonathan.

Jonathan Frey is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, a place few people have heard of, and even fewer people admit to visiting. His background is not noteworthy, but was primarily spent accruing student debt on degrees (BA Tulane University; MFA University of New Orleans) that have often led to existential doubts.  However, Jonathan does take incredible satisfaction in overseeing projects as a Director, Writer and Producer from script to post. Please see Jonathan's artistic philosophy below where he attempts to sound intelligent, yet not pretentious... does he pull it off?

Filmmaker's Statement

When I think of filmmaking from a personal perspective, I am inspired by the theory of Constructivism. This theory refers to the interactions between the information in an environment and the ideas that people bring to that environment. These interactions merge to create something new. I cannot think of more elegant way to describe how a film is made. It is the ultimate merging between the ideas of people, and the unique environments they are creating. This concept connects to every part of the production process and really captures the filmmaker’s opportunity to integrate people and spaces into something new: a completed project.

Jonathan currently lives in the Highland Park area in Los Angeles, California, where he can be found at local neighborhood haunts offering unsolicited descriptions of his latest projects, usually at a higher volume than is necessary. Stranger reading this online, please stick around and check out Jonathan's work, or drop him a line below to discuss your next project. Have a great day!

If you’d like to discuss your future projects with Jonathan and listen to his bad ideas, or just have him pour cold water onto your good ideas, please feel free to reach out! Though undoubtedly available, he will likely wait at least 3 hours to respond in order to project an aura of “business.” In truth, he is checking this site quite often as a part of his relentless search for personal validation (IE Day Job), and to justify continuing to invest in this domain name.

Can’t wait to chat! Let’s synergize!
